LuAnn Malik
Operations Coordinator
LuAnn (Maszle) Malik performed with the Tamburitzans from 1976-1980 while studying math education at Duquesne University. During that time frame, the Tammies visited 40 of the 48 continental states in the US. Colorado pulled on her heart strings, and the University of Colorado at Boulder is where she went to study and complete a master’s degree in mathematics.
Over her 40 years in public education, LuAnn taught math and coached math teachers at every level from middle school to graduate school. Fueled by wanderlust and a gypsy spirit, her work allowed her to live in some of the most interesting parts of the country - Colorado, North Carolina, Washington, DC, and Connecticut. Now back in Pittsburgh, she is very happy to work and support the performing group that has brought so much joy and lifetime friends to herself and many others.
LuAnn has twin grandchildren who live in Denver with her daughter Julia and son-in-law Michael. So LuAnn’s life on the road continues.
