PRIJATELJI ORCHESTRA CONCERT
The Prijatelji Orchestra of Chicago is proud to announce they will hold their 30th annual concert on Saturday, February 15, 2024. This year’s concert will start earlier than in previous years. Doors will open at 2:00 pm and the concert will begin promptly at 3:00 pm. Tickets are available online at:

This year’s performance and dinner dance will be held in a new location, the Lithuanian World Center located at 14911 127th St. in Lemont, IL 60439. Come and enjoy a delicious buffet-style dinner catered by the fabulous Grand Dukes Eastern European restaurant of Downers Grove, IL.
In addition to the Prijatelji Tamburitza Orchestra performance, we are thrilled to announce that The Tamburitzans (formerly known as “The Duquesne University Tamburitzans”) will again be our guests. Their performance at our event has significant meaning to our group for multiple reasons. Our former director (and my Dad), John Gornick, was the unofficial number #1 fan of the organization. He believed it was critical to support them as they continue to introduce and showcase the tamburitza instrument in their shows across the USA. Also, our current director, Joe Gornick, and his wife, Diane, are proud alumni of the group, as are members Bob and Phil Vucinic. And lastly, one of the current Prijatelji members, John Pruzin (another Duquesne alumnus), has a daughter that is one of the current performers of the ensemble.
The Tamburitzans will perform a ~ 45-minute ABBREVIATED version of their full show, which locals can see on Sunday, February 16 at the Gorton Center @ 400 East Illinois Road Lake Forest, IL 60045. This event is being sponsored by the Waukegan Junior Tamburitzans so please join us in supporting both wonderful organizations. After dinner, the SINOVI Orchestra of Chicago will once again play for your listening and dancing pleasure. They are consummate entertainers that never disappoint a crowd with their wide selection of music! We are blessed to have this beloved group as part of our local Croatian community.
Tickets for this combined concert/dinner event (cash bar) are $65 for adults and $20 for kids 6 to 16 years of age, and no charge for kids 5 and under (a seat must still be reserved though).
